Our Journey
Our story began with years of working alongside the business of construction. Between us, we've spent decades implementing systems, methods, and controls for contractors, and we've advised more than 10,000 business owners along the way. Bill Shapcott and George Lauber met on a project in 2024 and saw the same problem again and again: good contractors growing faster than their systems could support. So they founded Shapcott Lauber to give owner-led contractors honest, senior-level guidance at a fixed fee, with no open-ended hourly billing, to help them build businesses that are more profitable, better controlled, and less dependent on the owner.
