With 28 years of experience working with the owners of privately held companies throughout the US and Canada, Bill has played an integral part in opening dialog and gaining the trust of over 10,000 business owners. Bill is a dedicated professional focused on delivering results that impact both people and the bottom line. His unique skills enable him to quickly identify critical issues, to pinpoint and develop effective solutions, excelling in creating roadmaps for transformation, turnaround, and/or restructuring.
His expertise encompasses leadership development, strategy, structural optimization, systems analysis, business development, and transformative initiatives.

Before establishing Shapcott & Lauber, Bill co-founded Cogent Analytics, a professional services firm focused on supporting small and mid-cap companies across the U.S. Under his guidance in business development, his team achieved remarkable sales results that propelled the firm to an impressive 1,900% growth, earning a place on the INC500 list in 2017 and subsequent recognition on the INC5000 three years afterwards.
Throughout his career, Bill has successfully built and managed three startups, generating over $100 million in revenue. He has personally engaged with thousands of privately held companies, many within the AEC and MEP sectors.

After successfully selling his business, George transitioned into consultancy, specializing in operational efficiency and strategic pricing, particularly within the construction and warehousing sectors. His expertise led him to a Vice President of Operations role, where he achieved significant objectives before returning to consultancy to assist other struggling enterprises.

As a project director at Cogent Analytics, George excelled in overseeing diverse field projects, ultimately being promoted to manage a team of project directors. His leadership shone during the COVID-19 pandemic, as his team adapted to virtual client support and became the most productive in the company.

In January 2024, George partnered with Bill Shapcott to leverage their combined expertise in enhancing the operational and financial performance of small to medium-sized construction companies through a unique profit optimization model.
