Vince's Journey: From West Point Military Academy to Inspirational Leader
With a robust foundation as a former Army Captain, Airborne Ranger, and helicopter pilot, Vince is a dynamic leader who harnesses the power of synergy to unite teams in pursuit of a shared vision.
Known for his integrity, he leverages his extensive operations and engineering expertise to drive successful turnarounds for small and mid-cap companies. His ability to teach and lead consulting engagements for companies wanting to run as world class Lean organizations is second to none.

After serving as a Captain in the Army, Vince has dedicated himself to driving operational and engineering improvements across a diverse range of industries, including food and beverage, apparel, electronics, defense, heavy manufacturing, construction, food service equipment design, and oil and gas.

Prior to his consulting career, Vince was the Director of Operations at a company specializing in heat exchange coils for commercial applications. There, he led a 200-member operations team to achieve significant growth, increasing revenue per employee by over 10% and reducing direct costs per coil by 11%.

He served as Director of Engineering for a global restaurant equipment supply company, Vince spearheaded a major initiative to transition from two-dimensional design to three-dimensional modeling using Autodesk's Inventor.
Vince also held the position of Vice President of Operations at EFW, a U.S. subsidiary of a global defense electronics manufacturer based in Haifa, Israel, he implemented lean principles and strategic outsourcing. This resulted in remarkable throughput increases of 400% and 500% on two production lines, while also reducing manufacturing salaries as a percentage of revenue from 16.7% to 13.5% and inventory from 38.9% to 31.1%.

Another example of Vince's background is when he served as Executive Director of Engineering at Trinity Industries where he led the implementation of DFT with dramatic results at the pilot facility. Two most notable accomplishments were:
-
Reduction of: work in process (WIP) by $980,000;
-
Reduction of product cycle time by 45% and overtime by $500,000.
The success enjoyed at the pilot facility prompted a corporate wide roll out of DFT throughout the company in over 30 Plants.
Additionally he successfully implemented Pro Engineer, a three dimensional CAD design software product, to 65 engineers. This allowed an engineering design team to reduce the design time for a boxcar from two months to two weeks.
Prior to Trinity Industries Vince was the plant manager for two wholesale bakeries in Colorado and the world’s largest spice producing facility located in Des Moines, Iowa.
Vince's extensive experience ultimately led him to a successful consulting career, beginning with a steel fabrication and erection company in the construction sector. Initially facing a $65 million decline in backlog, negative EBITDA, and no cash, Vince’s engagement resulted in a remarkable turnaround, with the company achieving a growing backlog of $165 million, sufficient cash flow, and three consecutive months of positive EBITDA.
