George Lauber

Co-Owner Managing Partner

George Lauber leads Project Implementation at Shapcott & Lauber, ensuring the right Project Directors install effective operating systems—true-cost pricing, KPI cadences, scheduling/throughput routines, and cash controls—and apply tailored fixes to remove constraints impinging on performance, margins, cash flow and net profit.

An entrepreneur first, George acquired and exited his first company at 26, then served as VP of Operations before returning to consulting. He led field engagements for a $30M professional-services firm and later managed a team of Project Directors—maintaining top productivity through the COVID pivot to virtual delivery. In 2024, he partnered with Bill Shapcott to deliver a practical, fixed-fee profit-optimization model nationwide.

Impact highlights

  • Repeatable systems that lift throughput and on-time delivery while reducing overtime/rework

  • Pricing/costing frameworks that protect margins under pressure

  • Multi-site turnarounds with clear KPIs, accountability rhythms, and cash controls

  • Typical outcomes: shorter lead times, +3–8 pt margin improvement, faster cash conversion

Known for shop-floor realism and financial discipline, George aligns pricing to actual costs, tightens schedules, and installs cadences leaders can run without outside dependence. He believes companies should reward the owners and teams who build them—not consume them.
